Divine Feminine Series — Jessica Wachter

I hope your New Year has started well and filled with LOVE!

I'm excited to share a new body of work with you titled "The Divine Feminine" series. It's a series of different 12 x 16 in mixed media on paper. You'll find them each showcased, individually below.

The series is named after cards from "The Divine Feminine" meditation deck that I often use for creative inspiration and insight, especially before I work in my studio. If you're interested, you'll find more information about that deck here.

The Divine Feminine Oracle contains 53 saints, mystics, poets, priestesses, gender rebels, cross-dressers, trailblazers, and holy troublemakers who represent both divine beings and the human women who sought to embody them.

The next four works on paper are part of the “Cosmic Egg” series within "The Divine Feminine" series. Named after the Cosmic Egg card from "The Divine Feminine" meditation deck. I titled four different creations after this one card. What really resonates with me about this card is that we always have the capacity for an ever-expanding love. And because of the ever-expanding potential, there's a repetitiveness required...a need to practice love over and over again...this is why I made it into a series.

Although each one was created as a stand-alone piece, I feel many of them could pair beautifully together. And there's definitely potential of them creating a large statement depending on how you chose to frame and mat them.

I think these pieces could be great Valentine's Day gifts!
